CENTRAL AGROFORESTRY RESEARCH INSTITUTE

The ICAR-CAFRI Institute has a special library resource base in the field of agroforestry and allied fields to support in research works and consultancy in the relevant areas. This is a special referral library in agroforestry in India. This library is the knowledge hub of the ICAR- Central Agroforestry Research Institute, Jhansi (U.P.). It reflects the institute commitment to providing the best possible library and information services to its special community of scientists, officers and research scholars and all our staff members. It is a major resource for agroforestry, agriculture and allied subject in this part of the India and has a collection of both printed and digital resources.
The institute library has more than 4511 books (including Hindi books), 2335 bounded back volumes of research journals and subscribes 14 Indian journals. It also maintains a CD_ROM server with a bibliographic database from the CERA (Consortium for E-Resources in Agriculture). These databases are accessible to an individual scientist through LAN. The library collection like mostly include document in agriculture research work, basic science and also light reading materials, fiction, stories and general knowledge books like encyclopedia, dictionaries, etc. Different toposheet maps from cultured area are also available here. The library spares no efforts to fulfill its mission by selecting, acquiring, organizing, reserving, maintain and providing access to a collection of materials and electronic resources that address for needs of the academic community.

Library Services: At present the library offers services as Borrowing Facility, Reference and Information services, reservation, renewal, reading, inter library loan, document delivery services, SDI services, CAS services.
